わたしのあきやすみ
あきやすみにノーオトルダムでともだちとあそびました。それかた、うちにかえりませんでした。ともだちとベトナムりょうりをつくりました。おいしいでした。ともだちのしゅっしんはベトナムです。だから、ベトナムりょうりがすきです。それから、わたしもベトナムりょうりがだいすくです。 かようびにともだちとえいがをみました。えいがは「Tron: Ares」です。うちにかえりませんでした。でも、あきやすみはとてもいいです。

こんしゅうのしゅうまつ
きのう、わさしはかのじょとネコカフェにいきました。 ネコカフェはたくさんネコがありました。それから、ネコとあそびました。 だから、ネコがだいすきです。 それから、ネコカフェのあとでグアムりょうりをたべました。おばさんわりょうりをつくりましたが、わたしはグアムりょうりをつくりませんでした。きのう、わたしはハッピです。
Katakana Expressions in Japanese Websites
At the Uniqlo Japan website, I found a lot of loan words in katakana. Some of the examples I found are shown below: ストレートジーンズ (straight jeans) and スウェットシャツ (sweatshirt). My assumption in why they might be written in katakana would be that a lot of fashion (Uniqlo) in Japan has developed with foreign influence. Therefore, they just made the English fashion words into Japanese katakana as loan words. Additionally, at the Toyota Japan website, I found the website menu written in katakana. トヨタのクルマ(Toyota's Car) was an interesting one as it wasn't a loan word. The name Toyota was written in katakana but also クルマ(Car). I would assume this would be to emphasize the word "Car."
